Artsy Bungalow

This home had been updated when it was purchased by the current owners, but it was still in need of some TLC and largely cosmetic upgrades to realize the full potential of the space. We removed the wall between the living and dining room to reveal the beautiful, original brick chimney. This completely opened up the living space.  To create a cleaner look in the kitchen, we added classic subway tile, replaced the cabinets with floating reclaimed wood shelves, and updated the light fixture. New neutral paint throughout the home created the perfect backdrop for the owner's diverse art collection. To create an additional living space, the small covered porch was expanded to span the width of the home and screened in to encourage use throughout the seasons. Later, we transformed one of the two guest rooms into a nursery inspired by the colors in a favorite painting in the owner’s collection.
